TM Software is pleased to announce the release of BlastStation-Workgroup.   BlastStation-Workgroup is a web-based 64-bit local BlastStation designed for small to mid-sized groups.  BlastStation-Workgroup works in the browser, however it works just like desktop BlastStation with the power of HTML5 technology.    It provides automatic database synchronization with NCBI databases such as nt or nr, automatic FASTA synchronization with any ftp server to create local database,  search result sharing and blast database sharing with other users in the workgroup.

BlastStation-Workgroup major features:

  1. BLAST search will be performed on the server. Search results will be viewed on user's Computer using standard browsers.
  2. Built-in job scheduler will perform BLAST searches stably without overloading the server.
  3. Standalone BLAST search with 64-bit NCBI BLAST+ 2.2.25.
  4. Supports database alias file which ties up multiple individual databases to form a large virtual database.
  5. Supports megablast as well as traditional blastn.
  6. High performance standalone Blast search using automatically detected available multi cores.
  7. Easy database creation from your FASTA file.
  8. Easy database creation from your FASTQ file.
  9. Easy database creation from compressed file.
  10. Synchronizes database files with those on the NCBI ftp server.
  11. Synchronizes FASTA files with those on ftp servers such as ftp.uniprot.org and create local databases.
  12. Easy multi-FASTA data submission.
  13. Easy management of BLAST search parameters, FASTA data and search results.
  14. Exports summary table in CSV format.
  15. Exports search results sequences in FASTA format.
  16. BLAST search results can be shared with other users.
  17. Created or downloaded database can be shared with other users.
